DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT
Albany, Georgia

Gateway’s story is not complete without mention of the company’s initial project in downtown Albany, Georgia, Reese’s hometown. Working with the City of Albany, Dougherty County and its master development entity Albany Tomorrow, Gateway financed and developed the 110,000 square foot Department of Human Resource Building, the 75,000 square foot Law Enforcement Building and the 35,000 square foot Riverfront Resource Center; whose condominium ownership structure was uniquely created by Gateway to allow private and public ownership and tenants that include the local Cooperative Extension office, the US Department of Agriculture, the Georgia Tech’s Manufacturing Center, the Georgia Water Conservation and Research Center, the county’s economic development offices, private office space and an adjoining conference center. In addition to its public/private development work downtown, Gateway also developed the 10 acre Meredyth Professional Park (medical) and the 43 acre mixed use Meredyth Village.
